aloo ki poori is prepared with the combination of wheat flour and boiled mashed potatoes to form a smooth dough. more importantly, aloo ki puri can be served as it is without and supplement curries.

Ingredients
- 2 medium sized potato / aloo, boiled
- 1 cup wheat flour / atta
- 1 tbsp bombay rava / sooji / semolina
- ¾ tsp kashmiri chilli powder
- ¼ tsp garam masala powder
- salt to taste
- ¼ tsp ajwain seeds / caraway seeds
- 1 tsp oil, for kneading dough
- ½ tsp dry mango powder / aamchur powder
- water as required to knead dough
- oil for deep frying
Instructions
aloo poori dough recipe:
- firstly, in a large mixing bowl, grate 2 medium sized boiled potato.
- then, to that add 1 cup wheat flour.
- also add 1 tbsp sooji. this helps to make poori crispy.
- now add spices like chilli powder, garam masala powder, dry mango powder, ajwain seeds and salt to taste.
- furthermore, add a tsp of oil.
- then mix the spices, flour and aloo well.
- now slowly add water as required and prepare a stiff dough.
- make a tight and stiff dough as you make for pooris.
- cut the dough into small or medium pieces with the help of knife.
- make small lemon sized balls between your palms.
- also roll the dough evenly into circles using rolling pin.
frying aloo poori recipe:
- when the oil is sufficiently hot, add one poori.
- and press with the spoon to puff up.
- once they puff, it will automatically turn over.
- and fry the poori till golden brown all over.
- finally, serve aloo poori as it is or with curries of your choice.
