Ingredients
1 cup oats
1/2 cup roasted gram flour (besan)
1/2 cup rice flour
2 chopped onion
1 handful chopped coriander leaves
6 chopped green chilli
1 inch finely chopped,peeled ginger
handful curry leaves
7 cloves garlic
2 teaspoon butter
2 pinches salt
1 cup refined oil
Method
- Soak the oats for 1 hour in warm/hot water. Drain excess water and transfer to a large bowl.
- Add gram flour, rice flour, onions, coriander leaves, salt, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and butter.
- Mix well until a thick batter is formed.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame. Drop small portions of the batter and fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain excess oil.
- Serve as a snack with evening tea or coffee.
