Oats Pakoda recipe

Hi everyone ,

Oats Pakoda is a delightful and easy recipe made using oats, gram flour and rice flour. If you are looking for a healthy alternative to the regular pakoras, this is a great snack recipe which can be paired with evening tea/coffee or can be had in breakfast with green chutney. Try out this healthy and delicious recipe!

Ingredients 

1 cup oats
1/2 cup roasted gram flour (besan)
1/2 cup rice flour
2 chopped onion
1 handful chopped coriander leaves
6 chopped green chilli
1 inch finely chopped,peeled ginger
 handful curry leaves
7 cloves garlic
2 teaspoon butter
2 pinches salt
1 cup refined oil

Method 

  • Soak the oats for 1 hour in warm/hot water. Drain excess water and transfer to a large bowl.
  • Add gram flour, rice flour, onions, coriander leaves, salt, green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and butter.
  • Mix well until a thick batter is formed.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame. Drop small portions of the batter and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove and drain excess oil.
  • Serve as a snack with evening tea or coffee.
