paneer kathi roll recipe

Ingredients
for stuffing:
  • 1 tsp oil
  • ½ medium onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup panner, grated
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
for frankie / wrap:
  • butter as required
  • 3 leftover chapathi
  • 6 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 3 tbsp carrot, thinly sliced / grated
  • 3 tbsp cabbage, shredded
  • butter paper to roll, optional
Instructions
paneer stuffing recipe:
  1. firstly, in a large pan heat a tsp of oil and saute sliced onions till they start to shrink.
  2. then add thinly sliced capsicum and saute for a minute or 2. do not over fry, as you need to enjoy the crunchy bites.
  3. then add grated paneer and saute for a minute. i have used homemade paneer.
  4. also add chilli sauce, tomato sauce, soy sacue and salt to taste.
  5. mix well and keep aside.
preparing frankie recipe:
  1. heat the tawa and warm up leftover chapathi adding some ghee or butter. do not over roast as they will turn hard.
  2. then place the chapathi, half over butter paper.
  3. now on one side, add 1 tbsp of tomato sauce.
  4. above that add grated / thinly sliced carrot.
  5. also add shredded cabbage.
  6. then place the prepared panner stuffing.
  7. top with more tomato sauce.
  8. then slowly fold the bottom side chapathi along with butter paper. this prevents from leaking while you take a bite.
  9. now start rolling tight along with butter paper.
  10. serve immediately with masala chai.
